Our guest speaker is Perth media professional Carmen Braidwood.

Born and raised in the hills of Perth, Western Australia, Carmen is a media professional with 20 years experience in commercial radio and television.

A familiar face to Perth TV and radio audiences, she’s heard on talkback radio station, 882 6PR and spent 7 years hosting 96FM’s much loved breakfast show.

On TV, Carmen is a regular presenter on travel show, Destination WA, which airs nationally on Australia’s Nine Network, and has appeared as a contributor on Nine News, The Today Show, The Project and Today Tonight.

She’s worked as a presenter, producer, program manager and newsreader for most of the country’s major media companies – in a career that’s taken her from the Goldfields of WA to Regional Victoria and to the beaches of Queensland’s Gold Coast.

In addition to freelance work across radio and TV, Carmen is in demand as a corporate MC and media trainer. She lectures radio students at TAFE in Western Australia and provides one-on-one coaching and workshops for businesses and experts who want to trade their awkward, unprofessional moments in front of the camera for the polish of a true broadcast professional.

Her Confidence on Camera coaching method has been credited with helping some of Australia and New Zealand’s most senior executives and successful business operators become the authority in their space and ‘Mini TV Presenters’ in their own right.

She’s also a proud poodle mum, an equally proud step-mum and considers herself an unofficial ambassador for her much-loved home state of Western Australia.

Event host- Media Queen Aldwyn Altuney- will present a special segment on How to Gain Free Publicity before introducing the guest speaker.

Aldwyn is a photojournalist with 37 years experience in TV, radio, print and online media.

She hosts several shows on the Media Queen TV channel on YouTube and co-hosts the Techwebcast podcast, which has had over 1 million downloads in the past 8 years.

Born in Sydney and based on the Gold Coast since 2000, Aldwyn runs AA Xposé Media, which offers public relations packages and the worldwide Mass Media Mastery training program.

Passionate about raising awareness, appreciation and respect for animals, she founded the world’s first Animal Action Day in 2007.

She has since run 14 annual events, raising millions of dollars worth of free publicity for different animal charities each year.

She has featured in 9 inspiring compilation books, many of which are international best-sellers.

She founded the global Good News Day in 2018 and is writing a new book called Good News Sells – How to Gain over $1M worth of Positive Free Publicity.

She also launched the world’s first Global Good News Challenge in June 2020. The monthly Facebook Live challenge aims to decrease depression and suicide rates and lift people’s spirits globally.
